Active South City is the Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan for the City of South San Francisco, currently in development and expected to be completed in Spring 2022. It will update existing plans and identify needs and opportunities to improve walking and bicycling in South City.

The Draft Active South City Plan is available for review and public comment! Members of the public are encouraged to submit comments on the Draft Plan. The draft plan is open for public comment from March 31, 2022 through May 4, 2022. Comments can be submitted via email to Christopher.Espiritu@ssf.net, or in writing to City of South San Francisco, 400 Grand Ave, South San Francisco, CA 94080, attn: Christopher Espiritu.
Please check the “Upcoming Events” section for public meetings where the Draft Plan will be discussed and there will be opportunities to provide verbal comments.
The Draft Plan was released on March 31, 2022. The public comment period will be open through May 4, 2022. The Draft Plan will be presented at public meetings during this period, including the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee. The final Active South City Plan will be taken to City Council for adoption in late spring/early summer following revisions based on public comment and necessary environmental clearance.
